AI Session Data
When you use our AI coaching features, we collect:
- Text and prompts you submit to the AI

We do not use your essays or application materials to train AI models. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. AI Processing and Anthropic
Our AI coaching features are powered by Anthropic's Claude. When you use these features, the content you submit is processed by Anthropic's systems.
- Anthropic does not use API data to train their models by default
- Anthropic may retain API data for up to 30 days for safety monitoring

Data sent to Anthropic is used solely to generate coaching responses for your use.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- With Anthropic: Content you submit to AI features is processed by Anthropic to generate responses, as described above
- With payment processors: We use Stripe to process payments; Stripe handles payment data under their own privacy policy
- With service providers: We work with vendors who help operate the Service (hosting, analytics, email), bound by confidentiality obligations
- For legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public
- In a business transfer: If Arzo is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, with advance notice to you
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Authenticate users and maintain session security
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Analyze how the Service is used to improve it
You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies, though some features of the Service may not function properly without them.
6. Data Retention

- Account and profile data is retained while your account is active
- Essay drafts and AI session data are retained for the duration of your account plus one year
- Payment records are retained for seven years for legal compliance
- Upon a deletion request, we process and complete deletion within 30 days

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@tryarzo.com and we will delete it promptly.

To request data deletion specifically, include "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line and provide your account email address. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. All data transmission between your device and our servers uses encryption. Communication with Anthropic's API uses secure transmission protocols.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing any information with them.
